The Lunch Girl

So, I love to cook. If you know me that's no surprise. I've recently decided to take a 'break' to figure out just what it is that I want to do. I'm no different than most, money is an issue, so I'm trying to dig deep within and find out I can do to make money, have fun and fulfill my passion. Hence, the cooking love within me; I'm going to give it a go.

I have a friend who tapped my thoughts at lunch recently. She said, "Jennifer, don't work hard, work smart." She appealed to me in more ways than one. Too much to type, but she put my thoughts into play; That isn't not one thing you do, it's several things. People are becoming resourceful now, hence the downturn of the economy.
I'm going put my passion to work! So I've put in calls to friends who work in office buildings, friends who work on job sites (construction, projects). There's a huge need for meals, good meals and ones that are brought to them.

I'm pulling from my collection of recipes, making them early on Monday and delivering 'plates' on site. We'll see how it goes. I'm not going to allow myself to get caught up in the 'what ifs", I'm just doing it. To paraphrase a radio broadcast of a guy who worked 9 years at a sawmill, where in a break room a co-worker asked him, "When are you going to stop talking about it, and do it?"...that piece of radio broadcast sent volumes to me. And to paraphrase Steve Jobs; "Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."

To do: Follow your dreams, dream big and all that stuff. Don't let red tape or details get in your way. We are all just passing through...that's deep, but true.

Take Care of your dreams, before you are old and out of time.

Best~
